I like it a lot. The difference in the F90 over the F900 is the preout and it comes with a $60 iPod cable and 2 year warranty. Watch who you buy it from. The places that sell it for really cheap probably aren't 'premier' dealers, so Pioneer won't honor the warranty if something goes wrong with it.

there's a reason an active front stage costs so much money... it can't be all done with just a head unit and component set... too bad...

actually it can, I was actually referring to 3 way (highs/mids/sub) not 4 way active....3 way can be built into many midrange headunits nowadays (its on my prs-880) and even 4 way can be had but usually at a greater price (clarion drz flagship). I just wouldnt want to bother with a seperate processor for all that stuff....money starts to add up real quick. But daaaamn having that large lcd screen with navi is just toooo tempting

here's how i was counting 3 way active: midbass (~8"), mid (~3-4"), tweeter (~1")... front stage only. sub is a completely separate deal imo... yeah the clarion super high end stuff is crazy. and yeah, that big ol' lcd screen is very tempting...
