Just an FYI, my steps prior to where I was in the pictures above were the same exact steps shown on the following sites:

Getting underneath the headunit (Steps 1-19)

Getting behind the headunit (2nd half of instructions)

Thanks sigmachi - it crossed my mind to look at the back of the headunit but you're install/posts finally gave me enough confidence to dive into the dashboard and take a look at the headunit.

I will post pics later tonight.

Just a word of warning - this install is not for the faint at heart. At certain points, you must treat your car like its someone elses...haha - no damage done though except my center console door requires a little more pressure to open and close but I am definitely willing to exchange that for an Aux input while retaining XM/NAV/6CD functionality.
tcnjlion41 I'm happy to hear that you were also able to successfully install the X3 package in your accord. As an observation, the installation process might not be the same in every car with the 14-pin connector. I installed the X3 using the connector on the side, i also see that sigmachi96 had success installing it to the same connector in his 2005 MDX. Perhaps neither Logjam, discountcarstereo.com or PIE tech support folks are fully aware of which radios or which plug will work in a given application.
We should credit both the vendors and the manufacturer for their help and for providing a solution we so desperately need. Perhaps other should post their installs here showing which of the two connectors were used.

Glad to hear people are having luck with this setup. I havent had time to work on mine myself, but I have taken the dash apart to get an idea of how to access things. Had to put it all back together to send the car in for service over the weekend.

Here is a photo of the back of a navi unit I got from ebay. So I assume the black connector circled in red is the one we need to plug the X3 adapter into. Then the oem male harness that plugged into there goes now into the other end of the adapter?

I tapped in to the plug under the unit! That plug is the main power and speaker wire plug. The plug for the auxillary input for mine was on the bottom side of the unit.

You shouldn't have to remove the entire unit. It should be in reach by removing the center holders.

It should be the plug just at the bottom of the unit. The one you circled I don't believe is it.

Sigmachi96 is right, for the TSX the XM plug is on the bottom of the radio. Thanks for the link, it was extremely helpful.

Over the past 3-4 mornings Ive been waking up 3 hours early to work on the car. I installed a DVD player, Alpine TV tuner, and spare Alpine monitor. The PIE X-3 did not work for the TSX. Followed the directions, even bought 2 more X-3s and another harness. No luck.

If anyone else has had any luck on the TSX specifically with this setup let us know. So far in this thread it works on an Accord and MDX. No TSX. I think the X-3 is fine and work. I believe it must be the harness that is not configured properly for the TSX.

Forgot to explain my results.

When the X-3 and PIE Hon-3 harness was plugged in, the radio's XM button would not let me select XM or AUX at all. Basically it disabled the factory button. The X-3 switch illuminated a red glow but would not allow any audio sources to play through it when selecting its inputs.

Can someone clear this up i have an 05 non navi, do I need anything else but the

-PIE X3 Tripple Auxiliary Input Switcher (X3)
-PIE X3-HON03 2003-Up Honda T-Harness for X3 (X3-HON03)

I'm trying to get an mp3 input. I found out that since i have xm radio i can't have both the snhond3 and xm connected to the head unit.
