damn I bet you cant even hear your stock speakers with all that boom - you need to get some good door speakers with about 100 watts/speaker and then you will have a real system

whats good kid, im planning to install a system in my trunk too, are those 2 10's or 12's? and did u get a good deal where u picked them up at? i live in bklyn so i gotta have some base especially for this summer lol. holla back sometime man, or anyone , looking for maybe 2 10's solobaric or rockford, or maybe apline to match my alpine dva-300 unit.

 

Actually the Kickers ARE supposed to be vented - they actually sound pretty bad in a sealed box. most subs can get away in either type of box (built correctly of course) but these really need to live in a vented box

 

Looks like they changed that... the old Solo-Barics were strictly small sealed. They were so sensitive to box size that Kicker would only let Crutchfield sell them loaded because if they were in the wrong box they'd blow up.

In reading the manual on the web site I can see that they wrote it to try to get people to try ported after discouraging it for so long... : )

 

they are 12''.. i also picked them up from one of kickers authorized internet dealers for about 299 each

ya the old school round ones were small sealed only...the new square ones are for loud ass ported boxes - they sound like crap in sealed boxes now (they really dont sound that good anyway, but they are very loud in a ported box)
