Finally got my appt. with Street Effectz

Thanks to all the info on this board...

Going with the stock TSX head unit...My tried and true Soundstream Reference 405, a JL10w3 D2 that I have laying around, and some DLS components that they will supply.

They said the rear stock speakers can be hooked up to the stock amp along with wiring in the Soundstream amp.

Cant wait...hopefully I wont have the new noise issue with the stock head unit!

Edit: oh yah, the date for the install is Saturday Oct. 8th.

Lucky you! I have a feeling you won't have the noise issue since SE will most likely use LOCs instead of cutting the HU/rca type lines suggested by others. Keep us updated!

There isn't a way to get a cleaner output that we know of yet, so if SE does it without locs let us know how they did it. Thx!

The RCA splice method works fine (i.e. no perceptible noise) so long as the next device in the chain can accept a balanced signal (or a GLI is used to prevent grounding the signal). A line driver doesn't hurt either...
