Finally finshed!
First, I would like to thank Jake TL Daddy, Ron Streetz and Mr. TL. They answered some of my questions so it didn't take me that long to intall everything and run all the wires.
Here are a couple of pictures for your enjoyment. Right now, it sounds pretty good. I'll just have to mess around with the crossover to fine tune it to match the system.
I installed the CD changer behind the armrest so I can access it without getting out of the car.
Ah yes, my two 10s...Polk/MOMO.

Looks Good. Hey AcuraTL, what do you think about those subs. I know Polk has nice mids, but I wasn't to keen on their subs. Do you like them?

How'd you connect the amp to the stock HU? What was involved?

I know that there is an adapter available that plugs into the back of the stock radio. I would rather go with an after market cd player just so that you can control your subs, highs and mids. I like to fine tune...But that's just me.

It's easy, you just tap the wires from the amplifier in the back that powers the subs and that's it.
I like the Polk subs, there are pretty accurate and go very low with a very small box.
The hardest part of the install was running the damn power wire through the firewall, it took me forever to find the factory plug.

Thanx for the info Sam. I thought you had changed the front speakers also, not just the sub.
As far as what I am looking to do, I want to transfer as much of my system as possible from my Accord into the TL.
6.5 POlk Components up front
an Orion Xtreme 500.4 amp to power them and my 10inch MTX sub in a sealed box.
I have 4way Pioneer 6x9s in my rear deck, but if I am retaining the stock Bose deck, I guess I wont be able to use them.

Hey Mr. Hyde, glad to see you here
I never got the front Focals because I can't spend any more money on my are since my wife and I are planning on having a baby.
Also, I want to keep it a stealth look in the dash, that's why I decided to keep the stock deck, plus no more spending money

Ok, I just finished tuning my system. Damn, thoe Polk/MOMO subs are accurate. They sound like 8s but hit lows and has volume like 12s/15s. I am very impressed with the subs and Orion amplifier. Here's the price I paid:
Polk/MOMO 10s: $240/pair at Goodguys
Orion Xtreme amp 500.4: $239, online store.
CD changer adapter/Line level converter/extension CD changer cable: $115 from Ron aka Streetz.
That ain't bad, $600 with top of the line equipment. Now, I'll see if I need to get a capacitor.

I am not even using the built-in crossover in the amplifier, the stock Bose has a crossover for the sub amp and I am running off of that, no need to have 2 separate low pass crossover. I tried it both way, it sounds better with more mid-bass without using the Orion crossover.
The box cost me $89.00. I also bought that from Goodguys and it was made for the Polk/MOMO 10s. The subs require .66 cubic ft of space that the Q Logic box is .65 cubic ft per side, so it is perfect.
I am only using 8 gauge power cable, no need to go to 4 gauge with just one amp. I am using the Monster Cable Interlink 401, left over from my Home Audio equipment.
For the subs, enclosure, line level converter, amplifer and cables, I spent around $700.00.

It looks great. I wanted the momos but I heard polk made crappy subs. How do they perform? Are the a crisp base or do the drop really hard? Are you going to install the momo components set too? The tweeters look impressive. Great job once again.

I am not going to do the front for a while, just by adding the subs, it makes the factory bose system perform very differently.

I am possibly going from that to the stock Tl Type-S deck. We'll see how that works out. Oh boy
move to audio and electronics
