Ok i resently put in a new head unit and had a shop run the power remote and rca wires i hooked everthing up and the amp turned on so i hooked up the subs but the subs don't do anything i turned up the gain and the boost on the amp and the radio everythings up but the subs are not moving has anyone else run into something like this?

 

turn on sub on your new headunit

 

some H/U's come with the sub starting in the OFF setting. turning it on should do the trick... I'd turn down the gain on the amp first though...

 

check the sub setting if it's off...turning it on should do the trick...

 

depending on what box and stuff you are connecting to, check that the subs actually work by hooking the speaker wires that you would connect to the amp to a power and a ground wire, you should hear the sub move "it'll just be a short little pop" if not that, then HU, if not that then RCA connections on HU i would say, just incase tho
