Escort 8500 x50 Experiences?
I dunno if I have this radar set up correctly b/c I passed by a cop today and the thing didn't even go off. I got warning beeps, but then they stopped and about a mile later I saw the cop but my radar didn't go off. I don't have the user manual so if anyone has any knowledge on how to program this radar that would be great

Download it off their website. You really need to know how to use a detector correctly.
What band was it? May or may not be any concern. You may have picked up a false & the cop just happened to be up ahead with no radar on.
Or
He was using instant on tagging people in front of you which the detector caught, then he stoped it & didn't use it again & you passed him.
