Error 1 on Radio
I've been encountering this problem lately and was wondering if any of you had encountered it in the past and had taken care of it without going to the dealer. Mind you, I went to the dealer yestersay, and they want to charge $140 just to take a look at it.
If you know how to take care of this cd changer problem, please let me know.
Thanks!

Well, I checked the owners manual, and it says consult the dealer.
This is what happens:
All my 6 CD slots are full with cd's.
When I press the number to switch to the specific cd I want to listen to, it starts making the change, but halfway it stops and it gives me the error.
This happened once. I beat the shit out of the surrounding thinking the cd might've just jammed, and needed some hitting to fix. It worked 5 times, now I'm on my 6th time, and it's been a week since I've been able to listen to a CD. I fucking hate listening to the radio because its garbage. Since I live in Miami (people from the dealer looking for side hustle) I was able to get a hold of this guy to fix the problem, BUT! He's charging anywhere from $150 minor and $450 tops.
I would like to find something not so costly and that I can peform myself, if possible.
Anybody have any ideas?

What happens when you press and hold the eject button? You could also install a blitz safe adapter and do away with CDs all together. IE. use a direct AUX input to the stock stereo and hook it up to an MP3 player.

"Err1" That's what!
I'm not trying to spend a lot of money, and I don't really care of after market stuff, or AUX stuff. I just want the original factory equipment to perform the way its supposed to.

This leads me to believe that you "permanently fixed it"
AUX input is around $75 and will in theory quickly fix your issue. This of course is assuming you own an MP3 player. The other option is to replace the unit entirely. I just looked on e-bay and there is an 02-03 stock radio going for $130 shipped.

One last thing to try... disconnecting the battery then reconnect the battery and attempt to eject the CDs. It worked for this guy.

If it's that's bad only a new HU will help you. I had this happen & NOTHING would fix it. I got the HU replaced under warranty, but I still had warranty. You don't. Don't waste your time & money trying to fix the unit. No dealer will be able to. It's an internal jam due to malfunction or defect.
You may be able to get it to eject the CD's, but it will jam again & you'll be at the same point again.
Option 1 - Live with only the radio
Option 2 - Buy a used stock HU off Ebay or Blackmarket
Option 3 - Add a blitzsafe aux adapter(easy install & setup) hook your external ipod, mp3, cd player etc to it.
Option 4 - Install an aftermarket radio

I cannot live with the radio! It's garbage all over.
Wow...I called OEMAcuraparts.com and they told me they sell the original radio, but it's for like $651.04. If it's for that price, I might as well throw in a nagivation system and get a brand new deal installed. Sucks!!!!!!!!!!
