cascade is the better dampening material of the car audio,,, it beats dynamat by far. it's lighter, more flexible, cheaper, and does not stick like dynamat!

do a search on it,,, cascade audio! the stuff is about $144 for a shop pack of 42 sqft. that's a great price,,,

i bought 2 shop packs and it covered the car completely. i did 2 layers on all four doors, 3 layers on the trunk lid, 2 layers on the roof, a layer on the floor and 1 or 2 layers on the pillars... the car sounds great! quiet, barely any road noise, and you hear your music better,,, no rattling when the bass hits! and you could barely hear the music from outside your car!

Cascade is not necessarily better...just cheaper and easier.

dnd2984:
Where's your rattling? Dynamat and Cascade will only help you if you're trying to block out road noise, sub noise...or any other noise that's causing resonating in your car...just a squeak won't be fixed by doing it.

sorry! when i said, "cascade is the better dampening material of the car audio,,, it beats dynamat by far. it's lighter, more flexible, cheaper, and does not stick like dynamat!"

i meant to say DOES NOT STINK, not stick!

and i think it is better,, one of my buddies dynamatted his ride with the extreme 3 times over and my noise seemed to be more reduced than his.... lighter and more solid too.

i dunno, see if there's anyone else out there that could do that kind of comparison. that will be good, i would love to hear how any other TL-ers treated their car with certain dampeners. which one is better in their own opinion.

And dnd2984! Austin519 is right, a squeak is hard to fix. you can dampen your car all over, but the squeak won't go all away,,, sometime it's your vinyl and trim rubbing against each other that coulds those sound,, hate them! hee hee!

i hope that helps!!!!

I've done plenty of installs with both...I can tell you both work well. Sometimes you get better results with one...sometimes with the other. But yeah, the fact that it's not based on asphalt is nice

extreme sucks J/k I have it in my whole car just one layer. Don't know Y you want to put more than one layer with extreme. Bad thing is that sh!t is heavy. My trunk hit my head one time when I was to seeing if all my fuses are ok that's how heavy that is. Plus I have the factory spoilor so no matter what I try the TRS will not go away. I put the trimbrite too. but the spolier EWWWWWWWW sounds nasty.
