Thanks for the compliment! Where is the shop?
And for a system update.........This setup has been removed from the vehicle! I have yet another trick in progress! plus I am going to try and measure the volume of the boxes for accuracy. A quick calculation today put it at 1.5sq" (and some change, maybe) on the drivers side. I will update as soo as I can!
And I am still working on a DIY for this. So bear with me!

I took these boxes out to do some work and did a quick volume calculation on them.
The drivers side box has about 1-1.25sq" (maybe a little bit more) of air space!
The drivers side has a solid 1.5sq" (Plus a lil more) of space.
(Both calculations from unloaded boxes!)
So 12"s definately fit!!!! There is plenty of mounting depth/space for them!

Holy Cow thats awesome!
Light bulb just went off in my head.....
I have 2 Boston Pro Series 10 that only require a .5 ft^3 enclosure. My concern is that if I make the form too small. that it will tip over. I may do the 1.5 like you did and fill the enclosure w polyfill.
Another question I have is how do I the make termainals on each enclosure? Is it the same as a MDF box? Drill a hole, screw it in and caulk it or is there a better way?
My subs are 4 Ohms so I will need to bridge them. Actually its a JL 500/1 so I can also run it in series. Ok, now that I think about it, it sounds tricky. Wiring in series or parallel doesnt sound like a problem. It's how would I do it outside the box? Just use heat shrink connectors?
Last but not least....signal. Since our TSX HU only has 4 channel "RCA" out, did you tap the signal from the 6x9 speaker wires? Non-fade is great when you have it built into the HU but I guess I have to spend 30 bucks for the remote gain knob. I guess I could also ditch my JL 300/4 which does not have low level output and find another amp that does. It's not going to match so I guess I will have to deal with it....unless you anyone has a suggesstion.
Sorry for rambling. Right now...mind mind is racing. Better write this stuff down before I forget.
Thanks again for the great insight and help!

For the speaker terminals I just cut a hole for it once I was done. Then I fiberglassed around it.
I completely removed my OEM amp and connect 4 rca's out I also have a 5 ch amp with the 5th channel running the sub.

How many TSX's do you own? Why would you need 6? Got a car club or something?

My soundstream had that feature of selecting the source for the signal....too bad I fried it =\
Does your amp "see" your subs as 1 or 2 channels? If 1, how did your bridge your subs out of the box? I'm trying to keep wires as neat as possible...
Thanks again!

When I had both subs in they were bridged running parallel because ch5 only outputs 1 ch. So it was knocked down to 2ohms.
I have since tried a 12" in the same box configuration and am currently running 1 10" on the drivers side. So ch 5 is back up to 4ohms.
Also have another 4 ch Alpine to add to the system to take some of the load off of the MRV-F450.
I will have the dualing 10s back in for HIN though.

Right now I have only (1) 10 on the drivers side.
I went with type E's because that was the best 10 they had for the money. Also the type e's have a cool rubber rim cover so you don't see the screw holes and looks clean. And they are silver to match the car!

Thanks!
The dueling tens are mine! It's just right now at this moment I have 1 (10) in only. In the past month I have tried 4-5 different bass setups. The first was a single 12 in a big heavy Qlogic Speaker box. Then the dueling Alpine 10s. Then I made a box on the passenger side for a 12" and tried that out. Then I tried the 10" on the passenger side only. And now I have a 10" on the drivers side only. But for HIN I will go back to the dueling 10s.

No more dueling 10s! Now its a battle between an Alpine 10 and a 12. I like it alot! I also added an amp and built a little temporary amp rack amp rack for show.........till I decide to try something new. Here it is.

Nice, you finally did your 10 and 12" Very intersting setup, looks a little lopsided, but still looks clean as hell. I like the setup of the amps too. How's it sound compared to the 2 10's?

It hits as hard and a little lower. Its nice to have the rumble of a 12 again. It's not asymmetrical anymore...lol.. Maybe I should have switched the amps around to balance it out....actually I did, but the connections got in the way like that. This way the car will be balanced with me in the drivers seat and the bigger amp and speaker on the passenger side...hehe
