I want a double din installed there / touch screen but is that shifter going to be in the way. I have an 04 MT

Also if anyone has any pictures of this setup I would like to see.

Yeah. I put one in there. The shifter doesn't get in the way. It does a little bit when you are in park, but overall, it is not a big deal. The bottom screen is a Alpine W205, which is a double din touchscreen. The top screen is an auxiliary screen that is really only there because I thought it would look stupid having the factory radio sitting there, disconnected. When I get the cash to finish the job, I an going to put a computer into one of the imputs and display that to the top so that I can get internet when I am driving down the road...

I have a 08 auto, but I don't think there is much of a difference.

By the way, my factory HU is still hooked up behind the new one. It is just there so that I still have my clock.

I can't see the images because I am at work, but will check when I get home.

Just wondering Does your second head unit feed into an aux into the Factory HU
So you still have the steering wheel controls?
Or did you just leave that not working?

I routed all of my speakers through the new HU. It sounds better. You can run the preout into the XM port on your factory HU if you want to. I do not have steering wheel controls. But that is because I never use them. They make an interface that lets you hook them up, but I don't have it.

the top isn't stock either. It is just a screen make by kenwood. I can put my navigation on there or watch dvds. It is powered by a rear output from the W205
