Double din install....

I'm working on a double din install on a 2000. It involved making a custom bracket for the 2 decks started with the standard metra kit then bought and extra cd storage unit which is above the factory deck glued them together. Filled the openings then recut for 2 decks i filled the cracks and gaps witha epoxy putty. It is still in the finishing stages before painting but below is a pic.

Once complete send us some pics. What are you putting in? I am debating on getting the Eclipse AVN 2454, but I am sure that I need to fabricate the mounting bracket for it. So was interested in what your putting in!! Thanks

Here is what the complete system will consist of:

Alpine IVA-D900 DVD/CD player 7" Screen
RioCar hardrive based MP3 Player
Alpine CHA635 CD changer

JL XR650-CSi speakers for the front
JL XR650-CXi Speakers for the rear
2 - JL 10w6 10" Subs

and a JL 500/5 amp to run the whole thing.

I will definitly post pics of when the bracket is done and then once the complete install is done hopefully sooner than later but with the cold coming who knows.

Streets....I know the double din can mount to the factory bracket, right? So, is that faceplate something you could make and send out to me?

Here is the finished bracket I covered it in a thin sheet of carbon fiber and it's now ready.
