head unit and navi
head unit and navi
hey, just wondering if anyone could help me...i have an 03 tl type s with navi and i plan on installing a head unit with a tv. if i install it, is there anything i should know regarding how it will affect my the sound of my navigation? any help would be awesome, and also, if anyone has changed their head unit, pictures or how you did it would be nice too
honestly, i wouldnt do hte flip out screen... you alreayd have a screen in the front for navi, and then you pop out anothre one right below it... i odnt think it would look good.. i really thought about this one cuz i was planning on doing the same thing... then i ended up getting a navi/dvd converter and its AWESOME.. cuz you can change from one to another by the flick of a swithc... and like both can be on at the same time- meaning you can run directions on the navigation and the lady will talk and everything and you can still be watching a movie at the same time... if you want ot know more about alll this let me know ... but this is just my opinion

you will lose the NAVI voice unless you tap into the wire and get a seperate amp and speaker....not worth it the voice is annoying anyway. Everything else will work fine
yeah... i think the navi/dvd converter is the best way to go for the screen in the front.. no one can ever see you have anything going in the front, and then if u press a switch, you can move over to wtaching a movie instantly! i think its awesome... cuz you can do both at the same time (navi and dvd)
