Do they charge to bypass stereo codes?
Do they charge to bypass stereo codes?
I bought a 1997 CL3.0 last week and the stereo didn't work, so I reset the battery to find I needed a code, I called the dealership who should have this stuff on file, and they tell me they can't find it, and that they'll call me if they find anything. Chances are, they won't even try to look. If they can't find the code, would they charge me to bring the car in, and have their tech guys bypass the code or something? Cause it pisses me off not to have a radio, but I'll be more pissed if they charge me because they messed up.

when i needed my battery ode, they told me they charge like 80 buckz because they have to read the serial number behind the headunit. You need the serial number and the vin and they run it to the computer. You have to take it in physically.
i found the serial number myself and took it in, and they didnt charge me anything
