componant or stock speakers?

Hi. I was wondering would it be better to buy componants speakers for the doors with tweeters and hook them up to an amp or can I hook up my stock bose speakers to an anp and get the same output as aftermarket componant speakers. I'm looking to do this because I need better clarity and crispier sound. I have two 12in subs and when I play at a moderate volume I can't hear much vocal even with the treble all te way up. Any suggestions?

The stock bose speakers are paper cones and they are garbage, if you haven't blown them yet, you will once you amp them. What you want is to get a nice set of components and either run those off the stock bose amp (if you have one) or amp them on a second amp. You will get the best sound and performance out of a matched set of components.

What Chris said. But you will get better sound with an aftermarket amp than the Bose amp. Just something to consider when you're shopping around.

Go with aftermarket components.

You'll get better sound hooking up an aftermarket amp to your stock speakers, but nothing like aftermarket components.

Thanks for the suggestions. Any particular brands of componants speakers that I should consider or that anyone would have in mind?

pioneer tweeters and mids are good . component is like 200 . but myself .. i would rather just buy tweeters and mids seperately . i like the kicker tweeters . they give you the little kick in your ears and is crisp as ever . and make sure you run a amp on them ... it makes a big difference

I'm looking to spend no more than $300. Hopefully that budget will allow me to get something thats decent.

Pioneer components aren't that great IMO. There are far better components out there, though for the price he's looking to spend you may be talking in the right price range. My personal recommendations for middle grade components are Infinity Reference, Alpine Type S, or Audiobahn, these are the ones I have the most experience with myself that I have been impressed with.

You'll need more than that to get an amp to power the speakers, you could probably get a full set of fronta and rear components for 300 though
