? for CLS owners who have changed door speakers

I went to my installer the other day and they said to install my system it would take the whole day. He told me they had to do some custom work in the front because the factory Bose speakers are really thin and in order for aftermarket speakers to fit they needed to mount it specially. If they didnt the window would hit the magnet. Does this sound right or is this a bunch of crap?

Depends on the size of your speaker...took me 1.5hrs to install my bostons on both doors (the 6.5s required alittle cutting).

I had to do a lot of cutting with 1" spacers for my 6.5" Image Dynamics Chameleons to fit. The hardest part was running stinkin' 12 guage wire through the factory wire loom.
