help...

Do I need a power inverter with doms converter?
I'm looking to keep things kind of hidden so I don't really feel like putting the power converter in the power outlet near the headset and I'm unsure of how to go through the center con.
I have an 01 cls and am hooking up either a ps2 slim or xbox 360 and could really use some help.

I'm not sure what you mean by "headset" but yes you need something to power the PS2/Xbox.. The PS2 slim doesn't require much and you can purchase a very small power inverter for that..

You don't need an inverter at all to power a slim PS2. It just takes 8.5v, you can get a step down from radio shack for cheap, or get a cig-lighter adapter (yes, they actually sell these - $15) and hard-wire it into your system. That's what I did, just ran a power line from the back of the cig lighter to under the glove box and put it in there.

help please

i called dom and asked for help with how i'm going to set up my converter.
what he told me to do was take the green and white wires on the oem converter and tie them together. then since i didn't buy a back up camera, to leave the blue and white ones alone. next tie the 12v to the other black wire on the oem. then all that's left is the switch, so i left the wire coming out.
then with the fm modulator, dom told me to tie the red and black wires together in the dvin 12v socket.
i did everything that he said and pluged in doms converter going from the rgb to the navi unit in the trunk and hooked up the other plug to the wires that were previously going in the navi unit hence pnp. But, the only thing that concerns me is that i have a ground wire that i don't know what to do with, and the fm modulator doesn't have anylights on it so i'm assuming it isn't getting power.
i've already got power supply going to the dvd player and the cords from there plugged in the the red and white on the fm mod and the yellow to the converter.
just the only thing that is concerning me is that i'm not getting anything on the nav screen, even when it's switched.
do i just need to wrap the ground from the rgb to something metal or do i have the power supply messed up?
very confused.
if someone could help that'd be amazing.
