Post Changing head unit and could use some advice

I'm looking to install a Pioneer AVH-p8400 in my 2003 tl type-s but I have no idea where to start. I haven't bought it yet, so first question is does anyone know if it fits? If it does then I'm looking for just general advice (kits, wiring harness, suggested additions to the unit, etc.). Any input would be greatly appreciated.

It will fit, your going to want to look for a dash kit to make everything look as flush and factory as possible. I'm currently waiting on one to be delivered. I'm not sure what harness it is but I know honda really only used two different wiring harness' for their head units so it shouldnt be hard to find at any canadian tire or best buy.

You can buy both parts from amazon as well. Metra wire harness for honda/acura 98 and above and the metra mounting harness for single or double din, which ever you prefer. You can also buy from crutchfield and they throw in those parts for free if you buy a deck over 200 bucks. If you are going with a double din this won't be an issue.

Few other things you might want to pick up is a Axxess ASWR or whatever for the steering wheel controls as well as a RCA Y cable so you can retain the stock sub (unless you plan to replace).

When I installed mine back in 2002, I took it to the shop and this guy customized the unit for extra $100 bucks + whatever installation fee was... It came out really nice...
