Changer ?'s

I have a 99 tl-p and amazingly i am pretty content with the bose system that it is equiped with (actually i'm not but that is b/c i keep comparing it to what i had in my Legend and that isn't a fair comparison at all ) anyway i was thinking i may add a changer in. Only thing is i'm curious if i have to get a bose made changer or if i can do like so many other honda's/acura's and get either a pioneer or alpine changer that i can directly plug in with out having to use a RF modulater. Or is that even possible to do with the stock h/u?

The Alpine 6 disk changers plug right in. You need to buy the molex connector for them. Check my sig, I have the Alpine changer and it works great. Very cheap too.

I believe other brands plug in too, but I'm not sure which ones. Maybe Clarion or Pioneer. Maybe someone else can chime in.

i asked about it at one of the better shops here in memphis today and they told me minimum cost would be 80 for the plug and about 300 or so for an alpine changer. Is that a fair price?

If you are the least bit handy you can do it yourself. You can find the Alpine changer and connector on the web for a lot less than that.

Scott,
I have an adaptor for a clarion changer, and I also have a 12 disc clarion changer. The adaptor also has auxilary inputs to add a portable mp3 player or something. Let me know if you're interested....
