Changer
Does any one know if 2000 TL, is wired to the trunk, from the HU, to install a changer, or I will have to wire it myself?
Also Any body knows if I want to connect the changer to the HU, without disconnecting HU from the battery, does it make any harm? Since I don't have my anti-theft code.
Thanks,

YES, it's NOT prewired. You don't have to disconnet the battery cable if you don't want to.
BTW, you can get the anit-theft code if you have serial # on the back of the HU from the dealer.

The code is located on the side of your glove compartment. There should be a white sticker label on your left side of the compartment when you open it. That is your radio anti-theft code.

I think it's same case here.....

I think it is how the dealership preps the car. I think that is one of the things they do is to label in a hidden place just in case you lose your radio code. Therefore in my car, it is on the left side of the glove compartment. If it is not there, then you can bring your VIN# to a Acura dealership and they will be able to look it up in their database for the radio code.

I'm planning to put a changer in my 2000 TL also, but I am not sure if my HU supports it. I have the standard HU and no NAV. I don't see any controls on the HU that would give me any idea if it does support a changer. Does anyone know if it does?

Ok, I got a Alpine S601 changer from a friend, but no cable, can anyone tell me what adaptors and cables that I will need to install the changer. I don't want to go to the store and get ripped off for not knowing the average prices for these items. Thanks
Yeah, i also need the cable.
I have the honda changer out of a 2000 accord, but the cable is only 5 feet, because it came with teh console mount kit..
I want to put it in the trunk. Do you need a kit to mount the factory changer in teh factory spot in the trunk? or can you just drop it in there?
thanks,.. and where can 1 get the std. honda/acura cable?? Do anyone have a spare??
thanks !!
