I've posted this on Cardomain, and nobody seems to know for sure.

Can the Braxial CDT Audio speakers, such as the HD series and Eurosport series, fit in our cars?

The ones I'd get would be the 6.5", but these have a protruding tweeter on an aluminum bridge. Would there be clearance problems? Would a good shop be able to overcome them without making visible, external mod to door?

anything will pretty much fit, you just need to make some spacers. I sold Accsuperstar a set of the Alpine Type X component which have a mounting depth of 2.75, and they fit nicely.

 

OK, I'm pretty sure they're a GO if 2.75" depth speaker fit with spacer.

they will fit depth wise. i had to cut a bit ( i stress a tiny bit) off the door b/c of the way the frame of the speaker was shaped. I had the CL-61s before and tested with a spacer they cleared easily.

 

i installed CDT HD-62s without a problem. i cut away some of the metal door panel, shaped a 3/4" MDF spacer and screwed everything in place. the plastic panel fit back on without a problem and the magnet clears the window.
