Does anyone have a quick remedy to remove cd's stuck inside the changer? (besides bringing it to the dealer)....also if the car is still under waranty is this problem covered? (bought it used and cd's were jammed inside)

What kind of radio? Some radios have a tiny reset button on the face, (some behind the face-- removeable face plate radios) that you push with a pen. That would eject your CD 80% of the time... unless there's something majorly wrong, in which case you need to take it to a technician.

 

i think tdamon is referring to the stock stereo HU.. juss take it out, and separate it, as those of us have realized you can't play cd's which have a sticker on them or anything cuz they just get stuck, it happened to me, it took about 15 mins to do. or juss take it to the dealer

Mine stuck once. I had to take it to the dealer. If it's still under warranty they will fix it. I see no reason why anyone would want to try & fix it when a dealer is responsiable for it.

 

mine jammed once too.....I couldnt get it out, the dealership ended up replacing the CD player

 

If the cover over the opening is still open and you can see the CD inside, press "eject" and then take another CD and put it in the opening at a slight angle so that the edge of the CD you're holding goes over the top of the edge of the stuck CD. Gently press down while the HU is still trying to eject the CD and it will come right out.

 

Brought mine to the dealer.....replacing the entire HU. Jammed beyond repair. thanks for the info
