CD changer in glove box??

Has anyone successfully mounted a cd changer in the glove box? I'm thinking about putting the Alpine 634 in there. It ALMOST fits w/o any modification so I think it can be done quite easily. Just wondering if anyone had tried it already.

I mounted my Alpine in my glove box. I had to mod the box a little to get the unit to sit in straight and flush. Looks great and I love having the changer at my fingertips.

The glove box in 2nd GEN CL is tiny. I couldn't fit my Panasonic 8-disc changer in. Plus you have no room for modification

Hey SK,

Is there no room behind the glove box to expand even a half an inch? I was able to close the box with my alpine changer, but I had to force it shut. So I don't think much modification to the bottom of the box is needed to make it fit so it will clear nicely. The install place seemed to think it wouldn't be a problem.

You wont have any problems fitting a 6disc. Some can actuall fit an 8 disc.

There is no room behind the glove box because of the AC air filter box is right behind it. I dont khow how big your 6-disc changer is, but with my 8-disc, I needed an extra inch but it was impossible

An 8-disc in a CL's glove box? Are you sure?

I fitted a 6-disc Kenwood changer in the tiny Prelude glovebox because of all the room it had behind the glove box. Our CL doesnt have any room behind the glove box at all.
