Hi ,
1- I have a 2000-TL with Bose system....wanted to add a cd-changer....was wondering if there exist a cd-changer which could be used where the CD-Holder is located right now....
2- I want one of those that doesn't come with a remote control and is not set on a frequency..... which can be used using my stereo's CD button.
I went to one of these Audio-Stores, they checked their compuers and said, the only cd-changer which could be connected to my stereo system is Alpine CHA-S630 & 634 using a special adapter......
Is that right? Or that's just 'cause probably that's what they had available in their stock.
Any comments would be highly appreciated....
Many thanks,

Many thanks,
Alpine's CHM-S600, 601, 620 and 630 will all work with the special adapter (interface). I installed a CHM-S601 myself that I bought used off eBay for $60 or so. The adapter will cost an additional $50. Only M-Bus Alpine units will work. Do not purchase an Ai series unit.
your headunit is made by alpine and will work with the CHM model of changers (not sure if you need an adapter to convert the plugs). you can also use the new alpine mp3 changer if you also buy the alpine changer adapter. another brand is the usa spec which is a direct plug in to the stock headunit...crutchfield advertises this brand. none of these options require a remote of some sort...all commands are made via the headunit.
I was having the same problems as you are, so when I finished, I tried to summarize it in the following thread. Hope this helps.

Thanks alot for the info,
It's also suggested in other forums, that KCA 130b+peripheral Honil would be a good substitute for blitzsafe, that you mentioned.
It would be a cheaper combination too.
But thank you again for the useful info.

Hooman,
When you say you don't want a unit with a remote, do you mean a remote to control the changer or another HU? Check out these threads from my install. I installed a CHAS634, which allows MP3 playback. If you check out my pictures on the first link, you can see what the finished product looks like.
