i know people have problems with playing burned Cd-R'sin their TL's but i have problems playing REGULAR cd's too, every once in a while. i was wonderin if this happens to others too, and if there was a solution to this problem, also i needed to know wat were the best CD-R's to use in my TL.

Hmmm... I burn music CDR's for use in the car, and have used a variety of different CDR brands. I had an HP CDWriter, and now I have an NEC drive (software is Roxio/Easy CD Creator v4). I have never had a problem with either drive or any of the various CDR brands...
Maybe it's your CD burner, or software that is messing up?
With regard to problems with regular CD's, I have heard that music companies are starting to include anti-copy encryption in some CD's. It's been in use in Euorpe for a while, and is just making its way to the states now. I think the Fast & Furious soundtrack was one of the first released with copy protection here in the US. There are several different encryption methods out there, but I remember reading that some CD players may have problems with copy-protected CD's.
