Can I add the Alpine NVE-N872A to TSX w/Navi?

Hi all... I would like to swap out my factory Navigation unit for the Alpine NVE-N872A:

http://www.alpine-usa.com/products/n...872a_demo.html

Is this even possible? A sales guy from Crutchfield had no idea.

Thanks!

im going to be driving a lot more soon as a new job requires it and the features are much better. unfortunately, i think the low-res screen we have might just make it a waste.

i see 4 options
- get portable blackbird (if features are the same)
- get NVE AND an extra monitor as well; install monitor into cubby area or onto cubby door?; leave stock as is
- start with either vehicle hub system and then add the NVE
- get av electronics adapter and run the NVE as standalone; uses stock monitor

If you really want it, you should keep your stock navi, and have this installed in the pocket just above the 'not an ashtray'. Use the MP3 CD player's trim panel to get a nice flush install (costs like $70) and have this whole setup re-wired as your main headunit, with the stock headunit's output going into it as an aux-in.

blackbird got horrible reviews and I read that the 72 was freezing. I would hold out on that for a while.

Waste of money. Thats why!! Think about it really!!! Do you really NEED TWO NAVI? Dont waste your $1000+ on stupid stuff.. Use that money on gas or something. You are not going to like it. just my
1. You gonna have to look down to see the map. (dangerous)
2. good luck with the glare from the sun. You won't able to see shit.
3. What makes it so much better than our navi. ( our navi is suppost to be one of top navi system out there)
