I picked up a 12" Rockford Fosgate P3 sub for my '02TL. I need to make a box but I need some help with the dimensions. I was thinking about making the box 14"h x 24"w x 9"d.
Does anyone know if this is a good box size for this sub?
Help is much appreciated. Hopefully I will build the box this weekend.

that box size is just under 1.25 cu ft....rockford recommends .75 sealed or 1.75 ported- so you are right in the middle, maybe build it a little smaller sealed and you should be fine....

so is it better to make the sealed box bigger or smaller than the recommended size? which way will i get better/deeper base?

 

for that speaker a sealed box a little bigger than .75 would work well, but not nearly as well as the 1.75 ported rockford recommends.....
