boston acoustics speakers

boston acoustics speakers

i was looking to install some boston acoustics 6.5's has anyone ever had any expierence with these speakers? i was wondering if they would fit in the factory locations without cutting anything? or am i better off with the 5 1/4 's? 2000 tl

Typically speaking, you'll have a much easier time getting 5 1/4 inch speakers to fit, but it mainly depends on the mounting depth.

As far as Boston Acoustics goes, they make some very good sounding speakers. What kind of 6 1/2's are they, component or coaxial?

the components will not fit without cutting... the coxials might but you will definately need a spacer ring...

i have boston z6 speakers in my doors. I trimmed the stock spacers and they fit perfectly. The speakers are 6.5".

I have Boston Pro Z6's in my doors, which is better than any speaker ive ever heard, and im an audiophile. I had to use a .75" spacer to install. The Boston Pro 6.5's are also great, but not even close to as good as the Z's....
