Bose wiring question (head unit replacement)

Alright, I used to have a Nissan Maxima, in which the Bose system had individual amplifiers for each speaker. Sounds sexy, but if you buy a head unit, you need to bypass all the little amps for each speaker.. quite annoying.

I was wondering if the CL's Bose system was blessed with such an annoying feature as well..

Basically, If I replace the head unit in the car, will everything else be nice and happy (excluding the controls on the steering).

Thanks a bunch!

Phil

No, Bose saw Nissan coming and really took them to the cleaners on that one.

Honda seems to be better at dealing with Bose than either Nissan or Delco.

yeah the CL's are lucky because they dont have that offboard EQ that overcompensates for the lack of tweeters in the TL

Great, thanks a bunch..

Jonesi to answer your question, I do not have the navigation system. I wish I did, I'm looking on ebay all the time to try and find a nice deal! There's a nice one, pioneer's AVIC-N2 for $233.... what do you think are the odds of actually receiving the unit. (especially since the seller only takes direct money transfers, no 3rd party like paypall).

Although the Garmin's C230 street pilot just dropped in price and is now $450 at amazon, I would like something that looks neater in the car, and if it can play MP3, even better

The big bump here is the money.

Thanks for the replies and the info!
