maybe if you could give us some info such as the general area of the rattle we may be able to help you.

Dunno if this is a slight thread hijack, and I haven't really checked it out in detail on my car yet, but does anyone else notice that rattling occurs a little more in colder weather?

I dunno, maybe it's in my head or something I have kicking around my car that I haven't found... anyways, if that does actually happen, maybe that's what's happening to N Pizzle depending on where he is?

Im in Delaware so its not as cold. The rattling wasnt there before. Its in the rear deck. Like when i have the volume halfway you dont notice it only when its on 3/4 way high or higher. The noise seems like someone hitting a guitar with a plucker. really crisp.

I have an aftermarket deck in my car, and retained use of the subwoofer running through the rca's in my Pioneer deck. The sub was rattling like hell so I popped off the Sub covering, added some strips of brown bread (like dynamat but a bit cheaper) to the rear of the enclosure and the rattling has subsided some what.

That Bose system sucks thank god I replaced the speakers and deck.

You may be playing past the capacity of the sub. It may be distorting. The rear deck may also need some dynamat. it may be resonance from the torsion bars.

Im not playing it to loud. I mean the bose system should be able to take the high volume thou. Its not just any cheap system you know? Its when u play a Cd and radio. I have a 6 cd changer. Its for certain beats on the music though. It doesnt rattle thoughout the whole song. ITs kinda annoying when you have ppl in your car and their like dont you have bose. So they tell you to put it up but sounds really bad.

the bose audio system in our cars sucks.

to the op, you may have a blown sub or something, turn down the bass. if that doesnt solve your problem, its the plastic cover that sits over the sub.

Just because the volume can go that high doesnt mean the music will be distortion free. The stereo really cant go that high. And actually the stereo in the TL suck. Its Bose. They suck. No highs no lows must be BLOZ.

DO you think i should replace it? Bose is better them most of what cars come with nowadays. I know the 07 tl's dont have bose. I want something that sounds nice but i dont want to put a sumb and amp. I like ti keep things OEM for that matter. IF you have any suggestions please do let me know. THanks

GM's Delco brand is better than Bose. People need to stop thinking bose is all that.

Just about any aftermarket speaker is going to be better. The rear sub is small, its a shallow mount that isnt really designed to make a whole lot of bass. Your options there are limited.

Notice that problem on my TL as well. I usually use full bass, and when i turn it up the back window rattles. Members of acurazine are right as well the bose system isn't all that great, but it isn't bad either. The best stock system i heard on econimic cars would be on the 09 Lancer GTS. That system pounds, 650watts.

Best thing to do is if you want more bass get aftermarket subs and disconnect the oem sub. OR get back there and figure out exactly what in your case is causing it. Try removing the rear deck cover and see if you can isolate the sound if it isnt the sub.
