Bluetooth?

I remember some members saying bluetooth will not work for the tsx. However, I was just wondering if any of you have bluetooth in the tsx working along with the navi? TIA

That all depends, what are you wanting to use bluetooth for?

Bluetooth is not IN the TSX (like it is in the TL). But the HCB 30 (ericsson BT HF kit) should work fine and I have seen several members that have it installed.

bluetooth is a low-bandwidth wireless protocol. it is used for phones, pda's, computers and printers.

you can wirelessly connect a phone to a headset or a mic/speaker. also used to sync computers-phones-pda's ect. basically its just really cool!

i think in addition to what virus said to answer your question.
the blue tooth hands free kit allows your cell phone to remain attached to your hip. an external speaker and microphone are installed in the car. now imagine that your phone rings and you answer the call by pushing a button mounted to the dash that when pushed will answer the call and transmit the call through the speaker and microphone to you can talk on the phone.
its like having a wire from the cell phone to the installed kit without the wire.
you need to be within 30 feet of the car to use the kit and your phone never leaves your side.

Bluetooth is not limited to hands free applications. Bluetooth can best be thought of as an invisible 30-ft long USB cable that automatically connects devices that have been "linked" to each other. I have connected my BT-equipped laptop to my BT-equipped cellphone and accessed the Internet through the phone without ever taking the phone out of my pocket or bag.

If you are on Verizon Wireless, call *611 and tell them you want Bluetooth phones. My AT&T phone sucked so I went back to VZW, but the lack of BT phones is a pain in the butt.

Exactly. I have the same set-up but I also have a BT/Wi-Fi PDA that connects online through my cell phone. Checking e-mail at 70 mph is heaven.
