Blackvue 650 in car camera
Just installed a Blackvue 650 dual camera in my CL-S. As a former stereo installer, I did a bitchen job. I have the old OnStar system that I converted to Bluestar. Works well. I have a box that allows me to play my iphone music through the CD system and has audio inputs which allows me to play Sirius through the CD system too. My car is trick.
I installed the front cam and ran the wires up the neck of the mirror where the Onstar wires run, completely clean and factory look. I ran the wires through the headliner and down the A pillar. The power wire ran to the foot well adjacent to the center console. I previously installed a cigarette plug behind the carpet to plug in the Sirius power. I bought a "Y" cigarette adapter with one male and two females. Hard wiring done. Both cig plugs installed and power is flowing.
Ran the second tiny wire along floor and up to rear deck. I installed the rear camera just above the brake light. The wire ran beautifully under the deck cover and into the camera. Very clean install.
Powered the system up, did some programming and wa-la. In car cam.
Take care all.

I'm also looking for a dual dash cam. I know blackvue has good cooling, but expensive. I was going to go with the Koonlung K1S because it shoots in front and rear 1080p and is cheap. However, some users have had a restarting problem with it. I'll take another look at blackvue.
