Best way to route +12VDC from fuse box to trunk

I am thinking of adding a subwoofer to my 1999 Acura CL 3.0 (with Bose Premium sound).

Basically, I wanted to route a +12VDC cable from the fuse box to the trunk. I would appreciate it if you can help me with the best way to do it.

I am an electronic enthusiast and I know everything there is to know about electronics- cabling, grounding, etc. Sadly, I am a newbie when it comes to hiding cables in my car. I want to tuck everything as neatly as possible.

Any detail help will be appreciated.

12V from the fuse box to supply power for an amp? It's a scary thought.
Why not run the power wire from the battery? It's the proper way to do

He's right - a power wire from the fuse won't be powerful enough to power an amp pushing a sub.

What you need to do is buy an eight gauge amp wiring kit (or larger depending on what amp you're getting) from a car audio shop and wire it to the battery - make sure you include the inline fuse. Then run the wire from the battery to the driver's side of the engine compartment and find the rubber grommet which should be under where the steering wheel is. Poke a small hole through the grommet and run the power cable through it. Then, to get the wire to the trunk - tuck it under all of the trim panels the run down the driver's side of the car until you get to the back seat. Then you should be able to tuck it around and behind the backseat and "voila" - you've made it to the trunk.

This is the way I did it and you can't see the wire at all.
