Whats the best farad cap.

& do you think that will stop my battery from dying if I run my system with the car on

caps are crap. spend an extra $75 and get an optima yellow top.

 

also your battery shouldn't die if your car is running. caps are there to store extra watts when your bass hits dem low notes. that link is pretty much usless cause it just tells you when your battery is going to die when your car is off.

get a cap, I would suggest 1 farad for every 500 watts, but you can stretch to 1 farad for 1000 watts, depending on the draw of the amp. I would get a cap and an optima, that's the setup I have 3 farad cap, and an optima yellow top.

what about a batcap? ever try one of those? battery and a cap in one unit

 

Batcap & alumapro C.A.P are the same except some people prefer the alumapro, but ya I would buy a batcap or alumapro cap before a stiffening cap.

 

I have a Blue Top Optima and 5 Farad Alumapro.. Never had a problem at all and thats with 2 Xtant X1001's and 2 Xtant 2200's ..
