Bass problem

Recently my son was sitting in the back of my TSX and he noticed that he coundn't hear the bass. He even put his ear down on them and he can just barely hear anything. He said all the sound seems to be coming from the rear door speakers. I played with the Bass settings on the console but not much of a change. Any ideas why the bass volume is so low?

Yea, I was playing with those settings last night. With the fade I was able to hear some bass. Perhaps it was the song I was playing too. I think adjusting the fade did the trick.

Thanks

You clearly don't have a TSX!

We got a pretty bad factory system. Those x9s in the back are worthless. I'm sorry to the OP I don't have any good suggestions, I swapped mine out for a sub a long time ago.

i don't have a tsx but i drove one for over a week when my tranny blew it doesn't compare to the stock tl system but its still a good factory system......it has a tendency to distort under heavier bass......but it should still have some bass coming out of the back..........

Even though the rear deck 6x9s work like a subwoofer they are still contolled by the fader (not sure why). So, if you fade forward you actually lose some bass.

I played with the Fade and set it for Fade 4 toward the rear. I can hear the bass much better and it balances the sound out. Thanks everyone for the help.
