The only way to get a bass control knob is to get an amp that has that feature.....like my JL 500/1. Or.....you can get an Audi Control Epicenter or Pheonix Gold Bass Cube......

I have a bass knob that works for any amp. In goes in line with your RCA inputs. If you need one, let me know, I have one that isn't even opened yet!

well now im torn between putting my 2 10 inch jl audio subs in or getting an infinity bass link 10 inch sub. how are those bass link things anyway? if its anything like a bass tube i dont want it, but i dont know if i wanna put my subs in cause i dont want loud thumping bass, just something that will give the cl some better sound.

opinions?

The Basslink sounds like a good pair of 6x9s....your 2 10"s would be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better! And the bass control uses typical telephone cord....not RCA cables.

I have a remote mounted just between the steering wheel and the ignition. Dont have pics but I can take them if you wanna see. Its set up how you said...just controls the sub in the trunk. Pretty convenient but it was a bitch to set up.

I put my bass controller for my amp in the din thing under the stereo. So you flip it up and turn it up/down.

ok this is what i want to do and if i dont get many replies i will just post a new thread. my whole goal is to make my car sound good but leaving the stock head unit.

so im going to be putting my 2 ten inch jl audios in with a new angled box, going to buy a 4 channel amp with a bass knob to control the bass.

i know i need all the wires and stuff like that. i might end up buying that wire harness that plugs into the back of the radio instead of splicing a bunch of wires.

i also wanna add 2 more tweeters to my car, keeping my stock tweeters. now what would i need to buy to add these 2 tweeters? would i need another seperate amp and a crossover, or what would i need. as u can tell i am unexperienced with this stuff so any help is appreciated.

if anyone has aol or aim, you can talk to me that way. my screen name is unc0808 and i would appreciate some help from all the audio gurus.

thanks

well when u run subs, normally u want to keep ur interior speakers set apart from your sub volume and this bass knob allows just that.

I know that but I adjust it on the amp and fine tune it with the radio. Works for me.

what exactly are you asking

i bought the harness to run a remote lead and signal so i didn't have to splice anything and i will recommend not doing that

i still run the remote lead from the harness, but the rca signal was horrible, just get a converter and run it off the amp in the trunk, works great

i also think that the harness screwed up my radio reception but no one seemed to be able to confirm that

as far as adding tweeters, why would you do that, or at least where would you put them, if you just power the speakers with an amp you will be better off, imo

by the way i have one 10 w3v2 and i think it provides sufficient bass for the car, i can crank and bump it or keep it sounding like a really nice stock system

i used to have two 12" w3's in my accord coupe and i would never subject another car of my own to that without rebolting everything down

i guess i wasnt clear enough.

i am installing 2 10 inch subs with a 4 channel amp including a bass knob to control the bass seperate from the interior speakers. thats no problem, i know how to do that.

my question is, i want to add 2 more tweeters to my interior, keeping the stock tweeters and mounting the new ones somewhere else, just to add to the highs.

what would i need to buy to install these tweeters. would i need a seperate amp for them, a crossover, what would i need to install these?

just add an amp for the back 4 speakers and leave your highs still connected to the head unit
