Audio Question

If you want just a little you can do a JL 10W0 they are pretty cheep, dont need a real big box and sound good...if you want a little more you can do the 10W3. As far as amps I am not sure..there are sooo many out there. Just make sure if you have the W0 get 125 Watts RMS and if you do the W3 get 250 RMS. Hope that helps. As far as boxes look on www.speakerhole.com good boxes and good prices. The sealed box size on a W0 is 0.50-0.90 cu.ft. and on the W3 is 0.60-0.90 cu.ft. Also look at www.thezeb.com for the amps they seem to have good pricing as well...they say they dont sell the JL subs anymore but if you call i think you can still get them.

I second 'Woodsdaddy'... I have 2 10" Alpine type R subs in a small sealed box, and they sound amazing with any kind of music. JL's are more for loud, boomy, muddy bass... for competitions and stuff. Its all a personal preference though, and it depends on what kind of music you listen to and how loud you like it. I have my subs running off an Alpine mrv-f407 amp which is putting like 320watts to each sub.

I think the JL's are not just for loud boomy music..the W3 is more boomy but the W0 is very musical I think. I have never herd the type R's before but from what people have told be that need a bit more power than the JL's and the are a little louder as well. I would try to listen to some before you get them.
