Audio Noob question for hookup of a MP3 player

I just bought the Dell MP3 player(jukebox). Just like the I-pod. Well i want to know the easiest way to hook it up through the auxilary function of a non navi setup. is it just one plug in wire or is it very involved. i dont want to buy the ghetto cigerette lighter accessory that dell offers.

See the sticky thread for this forum.

You can skip all the iPod-specific stuff.

You can plug anything into it. It's basically a "standard" audio input.
