Getting 13.8VDC Thru the firewall of a 2004?

I'm trying to snake a 12 gauge powercable thru the firewall of a 2004 TL. In one of the posts here, they say there is a pushout "above the gas pedal". I cannot seem to find the pushout. Is there one in the 2004, and how far above? Or does someone have another path?

Thanks in advance

in every car that i have ever seen in my life there is a grommet in the firewall that you can run a power wire thru... it would probably be easier to find it in the engine bay... i know that the 99-03 tl's had the push out you are talking about above the gas pedal... i am not sure about the 04's... but i am sure if you look hard enough then you will find it.. another thing what are you running 12ga wire thru the fire wall for.. i hope that you are not planning on powering any decent amp with that little cable.. at least go 8ga...

yes it is above the gas pedal. Way above and more towards the center of the car. I have a picture of where it is I can send you if you want. I fished 4 ga through there. You have to pop it with a small flathead or use a pair of needlenose to pull it out from the engine bay. Inside there is some sound deadening material covering it so you have to pull that out a little and reach way up there with your hand once you fish the wire through. A flashlight helps a lot.
