audio newb question about door components

i just bought these infinity 600cs components for the front speakers and tweeters. however, i have a few questions. do i have to take the whole door panel off or can i just remove the speaker cover and get to the stockies like that?

does anyone have some flat out instructions on how to install aftermarket door speakers?
thank you

I don't know about installing the speakers...why don't you play around and figure it out? I'm lazy...I had a shop do mine.

Did you get the converter things for the speakers. From what I remember...the stock Bose amp is 2 ohms...and those Infinity's will be 4 ohms... so you need some converter piece.

i have everything it takes to hook these up including an amp. i was just looking for the best way to tackle this without ripping stuff out and then just going on.

does anyone know if i have to remove the whole door panel, or can i just remove the speaker cover to get the oem speakers out?

Same situation I'm in right now...

So the Inifinity's are what you went with? Do these ones run full range? I'm not sure if I should replace out the tweeter as well...looks tough to get into that small space

i dont knwo abput 2gens but i would bet panel removal will be nessasary. but the bose amp and other speakers wont work well, if at all. you will need either an outboard amp or a new hu, or both.... or the converters of which beet speaks

if you got the right size and are lucky theyll fit right in the stock location, otherwise a speaker ring might be needed to mount to.
