Post attn: those with aftermarket head units

has the factory hiss been totally eliminated at low volume levels?
has clarity drastically improved?

please also make note of other stereo modifications made

Its 1 Din....

I had no hissing to begin with, but i have no hissing now. I replaced everything... Single din works well because all i listen to are CD's anyway...

yeah, but the thing is, a 2din only costs 150 more than a 1 din. so i dont get why everyone is going for a 1din

im planning on getting one early next year

also, mtoker, did you install it yourself?

I went with the 1 din because
1) I have no use for the second DIN...I only listen to CD's and radio so the other Din would do me no good
2) The 9255 does not come in 2 DIN
3) I like the extra storage space i can have by putting a 1 DIN unit instead of 2 DIN plus i can use it to house something else like a DVD player...

150 more? Which deck are we talkin about? Some stuff I installed most was between two shops.

the highest end alpine hu's. the 1din is 750 cnd, 2din is a bit over 900. i think i want a 2din, just to fill up the space better, and less plastic
