Anyone got a helms manuel?
Anyone got a helms manuel?
ok i know there are a few threads about the wireing of a TL for the audio system but i need to know what colors of wires have what signals present.
i need to be able to bypass the EQ and provide a signal to my amps, then i need to run a return amplified signal from the amps to the stock speaker wireing to the speakers.
also i need to identify if there any plugs that can be disconnected from the eq unit or whatever drives the stock speakers so that i can prevent the amplified signal from being sent to the stock amplifier and speakers since i dont want to cut these connections but rather tap into them.
i want to keep the stock wireing in tact.
if anyone has a schematic that shows thease connections and plugs and what the wire colors are and signal's run through them it would be a big help.
thanks

crap correct me if i am wrong but if you want to get a signal before the EQ unit it will only be a single set of RCA's using the left and right and sum connections. i take it you loose use of the fader, and bass and treble controls?
also if you connect this way it looks as though you may take advantage of the subwoofer signal here or you will need to use a splitter of some kind?

Pre,
You will lose fade but not bass and treble. I only picked the pre-EQ signal for my front stage and left the fill in the EQ circuit so I can only fade my rears.
For the sub, its your choice, as I split the full signal at my aftermarket amps. Remember, I think the sub-out signal is vloume attenuated so it's best to split the signal later.

is it possible to run the output signal from the HU and bypass the eq feeding the signal back to the HU? this way the sound would be un equalised and the fader would still work. i could then grab the speaker output from the HU for front and rear using the speaker level in on the amp for an input signal while running a non fading signal to the sub amp by grabbing the preamp signal from the HU as well as sending it through my loop back to the HU.
