Anyone changed the amp to power the front?
I'm about to when the rest of my equipment arrives. I decided to use a preamp/EQ as the master control and line driver. My design calls for a sub with its own control and I didn't want to pull the signal off the fader on the stock HU. At another site, a pro installer recommended I take the signal for the EQ off the amp instead of the head unit to make sure there was enough voltage to power the preamp. I am running RCAs to all three amps and using the stock 12 volt remote line for the turn-on.
For a bit lower tech install you could run the front component amp off the front door amp-outs if the new amp will take speaker level signals or use a line output converter (LOC) to change it to RCA. Run the sub with the existing rear deck wires. Some amps will take a high-voltage speaker-level signal for both the signal and in place of the 12-volt turn-on.
They don't show on the circuit diagram but I believe the tweeters have bass-blockers on them so if you put in new tweets with matching crossovers you should probably replace the wires. I got a set of Kicker RS6 components and the tweeters can actually screw into the center of the woofer. I may just do that and disconnect the stock tweets. It will probably save hours of swearing.
Good luck.

Moda_way is helping me install an amp to my Accord OE indash.
When we were looking into Line Level to RCA converters they had several types online.
Some convert non-amped speaker outputs from ordinary head units (Accord) some types can also convert amped OE supplies to RCA. You may want to check into some of those if you are looking for a simple 4-channel amp install.
