I need an amp for my stock speakers currently.. i plan on upgrading to better speakers in the future so would this amp be worth it for now and later?

If I may make a recommendation:

Don't amplify your stock speakers. You will accerate their demise. Just get a good amp for the speakers you will get, and then put it in your closet.

Well see I'm putting in a car computer I'll need an amp for my stock speakers to power them... can you recommend an amp for the stock speakers?

Or do you suggest that amp and some other speakers? preferably cheap speakers though.

Are you sure you want to sink that kind of cash into a 10-year-old car?

um lets see.. i have just over 100k on my car... it can easily get to over 200k miles on it.. so i have a good 4-6 years left on the car at worst.. what i am putting into it is completely transferable to any new car i purchase, but I don't plan on purchasing anything new soon. And I'm only spending max 1300 on everything for this so that isn't a lot of cash at all.. thanks for your help though to my question

Hey whats up man...I work at a car audio store out of houston just wanted to give you my input on Alpine Type S speakers... They don'y sound all that good. If you an alpine person go with their Type R series those are a lot nicer as far as sound quality and power handling. And what I would recommend into looking at is Infinit Kappa's those are nice as well too. I personally have Infinity and JL in my car look at my signature it will let you see what i got... and as far as that amp... NO BUENO... JL 4 channel amps are nice but not cheap...

and as far as buying stiff from online NOOOOOO... lol go to a local independent shop no best buy no car toys bo tweeter !!! lol

I think people are going with the S's because of their increased sensitivty: 92db vs 89db in the R's. The Infinity Kappa's have an even higher sensitivity (94-95db), but also are 2ohm speakers, the consensus being the stock amps probably won't handle those too well.
