K so I have my power hooked up from the positive battery to my amp and tested it at 12v (Rockford Prime R500) and grounded to the bolt from the amp. I have the remote wire coming from the stock bose amp. I used a multimeter and tested it, it says 11.60v or so. I checked the fuse and everything. What else can it be!?!?! This is killing me.

 

is the power light on the amp coming on? you sure the amp and it's fuses are good?

 

No the amp light doesn't turn on. Yes the fuses work. I used the meter to test it.

 

Turn the car on as if you were going to the store, work, etc and about to "bump" your system while driving. Take the multimeter's ground cable to the ground that you used to ground the amp to the car (ie screw, bolt, etc). Then place the mulimeter's positive cable in the 12v power slot and then the remote slot. This is testing your ground and both power sources with the car on. If that doesn't work it just may be your amp. You can always plug it in a friends car "just" to be sure. Hope this helps!~

 

Turns out it wasn't grounded properly. Had to sand down the bolt and the part of the chassis that I bolted the ground to. Everything works now. Thanks
