amp wiring setup question...
amp wiring setup question...
I am going to use some rear speaker wires for a line converter for RCAs. This amp will power my sub. The headunit has separate rear bass controls. Will the bass control determine the amount of signal the amp gets, or does the line converter make this a static level? Also, if the bass control does affect the level, would putting bass blockers "downstream" of the line converter tap mess with it at all? The rear speakers of me car are more thump than tone, and I don't want any bass below 120-150 being played on them (esp if I turn the bass up on the headunit for the sub)
Thanks...
Thanks...

Is the dash of ur new car mod-friendly? I'd suggest startin from the front and workin' ur way back.
im guessing you will need a different dash kit or somethin. But i mean, the dashkit, and wiring harness, im sure it'll sound good. Let's hope there aren't any funky offboard EQ's like the TL

Well, it being just an amp, i think you could try bypassing it, or see how it sounds with the Alpine HU + stock amp. I think its worth a shot
The bass control is one band of a 2-band EQ.
It doesn't control output, it actually distorts the sound by emphasizing the bass around 100 Hz or de-emphazising it.
If you want a separate bass control for how LOUD the amp is, you can install one between the LOC and the amp.
