Question amp wiring question

jl 500/1 amp, 2-10" pioneer tw-s2541c subs

when tapping the input to the stock amp for signal and connecting rcas to that, which wires do u tap? do i cut the brown wire and tap the 2 in there? or do i tap the yellow and purple wires after the connector pin that runs into the amp?

so far i already got the amp on. so the power, ground, and remote are ok.

Use the two wires inside the brown sheath before the connector. BTW, the two wires are connected to (1) RCA for a mono input to an amp.

i got it!!
the two wires i tapped have to go into 1 RCA. that is, theres a positive and negative, so they connect onto one cable instead of two. thanks for your help.
