amp wiring help

is it true that the front l/r and the rear l/r signals from the HU are the exact same BEFORE they go into the factory amp? ie, the HU does not have an xover or caps built into it? thanks...

The amp has an active Xover built in...

the amp takes four inputs and pumps out eight bandpassed outputs... it's gotta have the Xover, not the head unit.

One LOC, yes. Solved the noise problem.

When I have more time and $$$, I'm getting an equalizer and another set of speakers for the back.

amp location

so i dont have to waste everyones time with a new thread, maybe someone might catch this....i have an older PPI 6600 amp...when they were still good amps...and i have to find somewhere to put it but the problem is that its over a foot long. It does have a chrome finish so i was thinking of mounting it to the false floor in the trunk, right infront of where the pivot for the spare tire is, and then i guess id have to build a case around it with a fan or something....any other ideas? Its about 4" too long to mount vertically along the side of the trunk...hrm....

Re: amp location

How about hanging it under the rear deck? It just might fit! Do you have NAVI?
