Amp & sub install.....
Amp & sub install.....
So I pulled the amp & sub out of my Cl before I sold it and now will be getting it installed in my Toyota.
The last time, I had the amp properly installed and that cost me $400. This time I was thinking of just putting the amp on the sub box. The install guy said it may ruin the amp by being on the sub box. Any truth to this? Any other alternatives or suggestions??
Thanks

The $400 was because the guy made a new panel, flush mounted the amp and install charge. I asked around and it was slightly high but everyone who saw the job said it was a good job.
Any suggestions on where / how to install the amp if not on the box. I just want to make sure that if I change cars, I can just pull the amp/sub out again.

Do your rear seats fold down? Can install behind rear seats if so. It isn't a huge ordeal to remove it, just four screws and disconnect the wires.
My first amp I had installed to my box, a single 12" with around 350watts and I used rubber spacers to help dampen the sound vibrations. It lasted the 5 years or so until I upgraded recently.
