Amp and speaker question on 2006 TSX

OK ive done many searches and found lots of useful info. But im still stuck on the noise problem Im having with my sub. Ive been installing for a while now and i never had a problem like this before. I tapped into my 6x9 wires into a LOC then into the amp. Well at low volumes im getting this weird noise like a static bass and a little poping. Also at loud volumes i still hear a little static in the music. Also on the other hand Im upgrading the 6x9 and all door speakers to infinity kappa's and i know that they are 2 ohm so i need to get a different amp. Well a question i have is should i tap at the 6x9's or should i go directly before the stock amp and find my source there. Im not sure if it would help seeming that it is a 4 ohm signal coming from the stock amp but does it matter. well any info you can provide would be useful. thanks

Rob, amps don't send 4 ohm signals.

If you know you are going to replace the OEM amp, then the rest is irrelevant. Once you do your amp bypass your problem will go away unless your amp is bad. Which I suspect.

I tapped my rear 6x9s with no noise, no popping, no problems.

I feel there is a little more range my sub could get if I managed to get a full range signal to them, but for me this was an easy to do install.

R u sure you tapped into the polarity correctly. Sounds like bad wiring,, Did ground the amp good, get back in there move wires around make sure nothing loose... borrow somebody else amp and speaker see if the issue is still their.. And i believe you tapped into the factory amp.. You should tap into the lines on the output side of the amp for stronger signal

ok so i did some moving around of wires and the same thing, although i did notice that the amp has a clipping light that when it starts to do the popping and muffled sound the light blinks. what could be the cause of this.

thank

yeah I would bring it in to a shop but also does this occurr after you have been pumping the system or as soon as you turn the system on?
